For anyone reading this who has no idea what the Sunshine Blogger Award is: it’s an award given by and to bloggers for being creative, positive, and inspiring. Receiving it has me feeling all warm & fuzzy inside since I’m still a new blogger and it’s nice to get recognition from the blogging community.
The Rules for the Sunshine Blogger Award are:

The Questions I Was Asked:
What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Getting to talk write about my travels uninterrupted. When telling people about a trip in person, I tend to get distracted and go off on a tangent (especially if they ask me a question), and then I never get to finish telling them about the trip. There have also been times when I cut my stories short for various reasons. When I’m writing a blog post I get to write it all out the way I’d like to tell it.
Where do you blog from?
I live in (and blog from) Buffalo, NY. Unless you were being even more specific, in which case: mostly from my couch.
What’s one thing you can’t make through the day without?
11/10 would snuggle
Snuggles from my red Doberman, Pandora. I mean, seriously, she’s the cutest.
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Up until this summer I would have said Cookies & Cream as a standard fave. However, this summer Stewart’s Shops (a convenience store chain in Northern New York) upped the game with their Campfire S’moreo ice cream. They took Cookies & Cream and perfectly joined it with a s’more. It had toasted marshmallow ice cream with my beloved chocolate cookie pieces, and a graham cracker swirl running through. Sadly, I’m pretty sure it was a seasonal flavor, but I’m really hoping they keep it around or at least bring it back next year.
What place would you most like to visit?
I’m a travel blogger… this is cruel. Everywhere! My bucket list/travel list is ridiculously long. Our next trip is to a few countries in Europe including the German Christmas markets so I’ll pick that one for now. Hello, glühwein, gingerbread, and hopefully the Northern Lights!
What’s your favorite book?
I’m also a bookworm, this is also cruel. I’ll take a cheater’s way out by saying Harry Potter (and no I will not pick just one book of the series). Slytherins unite.
What’s your dream job?
Beach bum. Really. If I could just island hop around the world with an unlimited supply of books and margaritas, I think I’d be perfectly content forever.
What’s your favorite tool that helps you blog?
Physical: Laptop and Digital: Google
If you could win an Olympic medal for any sport, real or fake, what would it be?
Sarcasm.
What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
I’m a retired Irish step dancer. At age three my mom put me into classes with my older sisters so that I could learn to dance with them. Over the years I went to countless classes, performances, parades, and competitions. While I haven’t taken a class in years, Irish step dancing will forever hold a piece of my heart. Now that you know that, it should come as no surprise that my first trip abroad was to Ireland!
Where do you get your creative inspiration?
Mostly I’ve been writing about my travels and some of the books I’ve read that have inspired wanderlust. There’s also some inner dialogue that ends up in my posts, so you’re welcome for the shenanigans.
