The Indian rupee (INR, ₹) is the official currency of India.
Language
There are 23 officially recognized languages in India with Hindi being one of the most widely spoken. Hindi and English serve as the languages used in government and are the lingua franca for much of the country. As a country India has the second highest number of languages in the world, only trailing Papua New Guinea.
