When I sailed with Semester at Sea during the Spring 2010 voyage, it was aboard the MV Explorer, a converted cruise ship from the Mediterranean Sea. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to circumnavigate the globe visiting ten countries throughout the semester, but there was so much more I got to experience as well. I, along with my adorable red Doberman Pandora and my little house panther Bastet, recently moved back to Buffalo, NY after living in Baltimore, MD for the last 5 years. My full-time job sadly only allows a certain number of vacation days each year. So I try to maximize my vacation time by planning trips around weekends and holidays, as well as keeping a tight transportation schedule to avoid taking off more time than I absolutely have to.
