In the modern age of travel, your smart phone is the best tool to have on hand. From booking accommodations and transportation to budgeting and translations, there’s an app (or several) to help make every facet of travel easier. Over the years I’ve tried out a number of apps to see what works and what doesn’t, and to come up with this list of my favorite travel apps.

Travel Stocking Stuffers

Finding stocking stuffers for the travel lovers in your life doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive! My family has always done a bunch of little gifts in stockings that are rarely over $5 and the whole stocking usually filled for less than $50. Of course there are a ton of a great travel stocking stuffers out there with prices ranging from one dollar to fifty dollars so I’ll try to share a number of ideas across a range of prices to suit all budgets.

I’ve compiled this list of all my favorite travel gear including some information on how I chose these items and/or why I like them. Packing Tips from an Ex-Overpacker

One day in the office kitchen I overheard a conversation between two women who were debating whether or not you can pack for a four day trip using only carry on luggage. In my rush to see who was talking I almost spilled the coffee I had just poured. I wanted to immediately tell them: Yes! You most certainly can pack for four days in just carry on bags! After all, my husband and I had travelled all over Ecuador for ten days with just our backpacks as carry ons. I resisted the urge to interrupt their conversation to give them all the packing tips I could think of, but now I’ll share them with you!
